Julia Stiles is an Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award-nominated actress,
director, writer and producer whose career spans film, television,
theater and digital media. She recently made her feature directorial
debut with “Wish You Were Here,” Phiphen Pictures’ adaptation of
Renee Carlino’s bestselling novel, released by Lionsgate in January
2025.

Stiles has completed “Recap,” an independent limited psychological
thriller series opposite Corey Stoll from K Period Media, created by
Adam Glass, Andrew Dabb and Justin S. Lee. She also stars in the 2026
holiday road-trip comedy “Unbearable Christmas,” alongside Alex
Moffat and Caroline Rhea, directed by Kevin Cate and written by Cate
and Blake Sennet, to be released by Vertical Entertainment later this
year.

Her recent credits include “The Lake,” “Orphan: First Kill,”
“The God Committee” and “Hustlers.” For her role in
Showtime’s “Dexter,” she received Emmy and Golden Globe
nominations. Additional television credits include “Riviera,”
“The Mindy Project” and Hulu’s “Blue.”

Stiles’ extensive film credits include “Mona Lisa Smile,” the
“Bourne” franchise, “Silver Linings Playbook,” “State and
Main,” “The Omen,” “O,” “The Business of Strangers,”
“Trouble,” “The Drowning,” “Blackway, Misconduct,” “The
Great Gilly Hopkins,” “Out of the Dark,” “Closed Circuit,”
“Between Us,” “Chosen Family,” “It’s a Disaster,” “10
Things I Hate About You” and “Save the Last Dance.”

Stiles created, wrote and directed the digital series “Paloma” and
directed the short film “Raving,” starring Zooey Deschanel, which
premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and on Sundance Channel.

She began her stage career at La MaMa Theatre and has appeared in
“Twelfth Night” in Shakespeare in the Park, “Oleanna” in
London and on Broadway and “Fran’s Bed” opposite Mia Farrow.
Stiles is a graduate of Columbia University.
